Yes, you can add subscript and superscript to the same symbol. After you type a symbol, press '_' to add subscript (or choose the subscript from the menu), once you type the subscript, move the caret out of the subscript by pressing the Right Arrow key. One can search for math symbols in several ways: - math symbols are in menus (in the full editor) - math symbols can be inserted from the toolbox (one can choose from several toolboxes) - math symbols can be searched for by pressing the loupe symbol in the toolbox of both editors - math symbols can be inserted just by typing their name, e.g., to type the fraction symbol, just type 'frac' followed by the space.
